Are You An Ethical Breeder? Join The List!

1. Read our Breeder's Code of Ethics

We strive to model excellence in hamster care and keeping by only recommending breeders that uphold our ethical ideals. Read our Breeder's Code of Ethics here.

2. Assess Your Hamstery

As you read the Breeder's Code, ask yourself whether your hamstery meets ALL of the criteria. Are there changes you can make? Are you open to making those changes? Do you need help?

3. Contact Us

We, the admins of the California Hamster Association, are breeders too. We recognize our standards are high, but they are not unattainable. We are happy to help people get off the ground or make necessary adjustments to their husbandry. Contact us, even if your hamstery isn't up and running or isn't perfect yet. If you are open to constructive criticism from a community of like-minded hamster lovers, we are here for you. And before long, you will find yourself listed on this page.
